Sphere Prop and Silk String is an edition created by Caitlin Keogh for Primary Information’s 2017 subscription program. For the edition, Keogh juxtaposes an uncoated porcelain sphere with woven blue thread that encases and extends from the orb, evoking the knotted ropes found in many of her paintings.

Sphere Prop and Silk String is produced as an edition of 10, with the silk thread knotted in configurations unique to each edition.

Caitlin Keogh is an artist based in Brooklyn. Primarily a painter, Keogh has exhibited at MoMA PS1, New York; Queens Museum, Queens; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. She has a forthcoming solo exhibition at the ICA Boston in 2018.
